SR. DATA ENGINEER— STERLING, VA
Perform lead role in design, development, and enhancement of the data and
analytics solutions and pipelines, driving data-driven decision-making
processes. Develop applications based on business and project technical
requirements. Work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for optimizing and
fine-tuning existing data pipelines for performance, scalability, and
reliability. Consult with client about software applications and system design,
and maintenance. Analyze functional and non-functional categorized data
elements for data profiling and mapping from source to target data environment;
and develop working documents to support findings and assign specific tasks.
Upgrade, configure, integrate, and maintain data management systems and
applications. Guide team members in performing database development activities,
creating data import/export routines, and storing procedures by using various
languages and platforms. Conduct walk through sessions for Business Requirement
Document and Use Cases to discuss certain issues with stakeholders, architects,
and design and development teams. Utilize various frameworks, tools and
technologies to perform application development activities. Prepare technical
specification documents and user guides. Prepare documentation to describing
data management, big data, program development, logic, coding and corrections.
Requirements:
Must have a Master’s (or foreign equivalent) degree in
Information Technology, Data Science, Analytics, or a closely-related field.
Position also requires knowledge of: Data
Warehousing, SQL, Data Mining, Risk Management Analytics, Data Management and
Big Data.
Possible long-term
relocation(s) to various unanticipated U.S. client site locations.
